Game Recap

The Ravenna Ravens won a OHSAA sectional final game against the Orange High School Lions. The Ravens jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and never let Orange get back into the game. John Morgan led off the game with a single and Jared Strausser followed with a bunt single. After a Nate Holt walk loaded the bases, Andy Prentice doubled home two runs. Jared Horner brought home another run with a sacrifice fly in the first inning. In the second inning, Michael Sarapa and Ryan Spaller singled and John Morgan brought them home with a single.

Prentice drove in two more runs in the fourth inning with a single and drove in another run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. Nate Holt also had a RBI single in the seventh. Morgan finished the game with two singles, two runs, and two RBI. Strausser had three singles and two runs scored.

Andy Prentice once again had a big day at the plate and on the mound. Prentice had a single, double and drove in five runs. On the mound, Prentice pitches six scoreless innings striking out 10 to improve his record to 6-1. Ravenna advances to play Chagrin Falls in the District Semi-Final Monday at Euclid High School.

Ravenna improves to 12-6.
