Ravens News · Volleyball Conditioning Starts Monday, June 15, 2020 ~ Grades 9-12


Hello Players and Parents,

I hope all of you are doing well. As of May 26, 2020 we were given permission to begin summer conditioning. We wanted to take the proper precautions to plan and prepare for a safe environment for all players and coaches. We will begin our summer conditioning Monday, June 15, 2020. 

Workout days: Monday & Thursday

Time: 5:30pm – 7:00pm

Location: High School Stadium

Workout days: Tuesday & Wednesday

Time: 8:00am – 9:30am

Location: High School Stadium

You will ONLY attend 2 sessions a week, and they should be either the morning or the evening workout days.

For Phase 1 of our “Return to Play” we are going to focus on getting all players back into practice shape. At this time, I am only asking high school students to attend workouts and for middle school students to workout from home. This is for the safety of all players.

Important Notes:

  1. Prescreen your child, or have them self screen themselves each day before coming. If they answer yes to any of the screening questions below then they should stay home until they get evaluated. This protocol is in place for the coaches as well. We will also take their temperature upon arrival to the stadium.
  • Do you have any fever like symptoms?
  • Do you have a constant cough?
  • Do you have a sore throat?
  • Do you have loss of taste or smell?
  • Do you have shortness of breath or difficulty breathing?
  • Have you been in close contact or cared for someone with Covid-19?
  1. We will remain 6 feet apart at all times.
  2. Shirts & Shoes must be worn the entire time.
  3. When you leave, you should shower immediately. 
  4. Every player should bring their own water bottle with their name on it. We will not have drinking fountains on. No sharing of water bottles will be allowed. 
  5. All players will be outside. Restrooms will be open and available. Players will put all of their belongings in the bleachers. If it is a rainy day we will have the locker room available for belongings. We encourage you to leave any valuables in your vehicle or at home. 
  6. Once we finish, all players should leave the facility. Please make sure to arrange a ride to leave the school after practices have ended. Reminder, we are done promptly at 7:00 pm on Monday and Thursday, and 9:30 am on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The most important thing for us right now is your safety. If at any point in time you do not feel comfortable, please let us know. I will make sure I post our weekly workouts in Google classroom. Either way we are still holding each other accountable to be ready for tryouts come August 1.
