Athletic Eligibility

High School Eligibility (Grades 9-12)

To be eligible as a High School (Grades 9-12) student-athlete, the student must be receiving passing grades (A, B, C or D) in a minimum of five half-credit courses per quarter.

Physical education classes are considered one-quarter credit courses and therefore do not count towards the requirement.

Students are expected to earn a minimum of a 1.0 GPA the preceding quarter.

Grades for the summer and first quarter of fall sports will be taken from the fourth quarter of the preceding school year.

There is no grade replacement.  The grade entered when the quarter closes is final and not appealable.

Middle School Eligibility (Grades 7-8)

To be eligible as a Middle School (Grades 7-8) student-athlete must have received passing grades in a minimum of five subjects enrolled in the preceding quarter.

Grades for the summer and first quarter of fall sports will be taken from the fourth quarter of the preceding year.

Parents are encouraged to monitor your student’s grades by utilizing eSchoolPlus’s Home Access Center and the Sungard Family App.  Information can be found on the Ravenna School District website at
