Game Recap

Ravenna fell to rival Kent in the Dave Starkey Memorial Tournament on Friday night by a score of 4-1. The Ravens looked as though they would have no problem scoring against Kent as they loaded the bases in the first inning with no outs. However, after a walk pushed one run home, a double play and fly out ended the threat without any other runs scoring. The Ravenna pitchers did their job striking out 9 and only allowing 5 hits. Weston Willyard struck out 3 and allowed 1 hit over 2 innings and Connor Browne allowed struck out 5 and allowed 4 hits in 4 innings of relief. John Morgan provided the only hit and scored the only Run for Ravenna. The Ravens are now 4-6 overall.
