The 2018 Ravenna Ravens Invitational tournament brought 16 boys and 16 girls teams from all over N.E. Ohio that was just loaded with talent. That kind of talent brings fantastic scoring and a very successful day. Kent Roosevelt Lead the tournament from the beginning with a game of 1109 and followed up with a 965 and 1075 for a total of 3149 . Going into Bakers with a 140 pin lead. Ashland, Brunswick, and Twinsburg hung around all day qualifying them and Kent into the championship round. There Kent eliminated Twinsburg 2 games to 1 and Ashland knocked out Brunswick in 2nd straight games In the Finals Kent went on to win 2 games to Ashland’s 1 to take the championship trophy. Ravenna bowled on the same pair as Kent and quickly found out what their young team has to learn to be a big time contender. Their 1st tournament was a little over welming not knowing what was a head of them. Jacob Fields lead Ravenna a with a 200 game and 535 series. The All Tournament Team consisted of 6 bowlers that had a 3 game set of a 686 series or higher with Robert Wilson
from Tallmadge posting a 719 series and a 256 high game. Sam Beswetherick from Ellet shot a 289 for high game of the day.
Many coaches complimentary to how well and smooth the tournament went. Thanks to all the teams that participated and made the tournament a success.
Next up for Ravenna will be Tuesday afternoon at Kent Lanes against the Streetsboro Rockets at 3:30.
