Ravenna Varsity Softball watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 22-0 loss to Springfield on Monday. Springfield scored on an error, an error, a groundout by E Stubbs, an error, an passed ball during M Miller’s at bat, and a home run by D Ruggerio in the first inning.

The Ravenna Varsity Softball struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Springfield, giving up 22 runs.

Springfield got things started in the first inning when an error scored three runs for Springfield.

One bright spot for Ravenna Varsity Softball was a single by Jordyn Voll in the first inning.

M Thompson led things off on the rubber for Springfield. Thompson surrendered zero runs on three hits over three innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Maddy Artz was in the circle for Ravenna Varsity Softball. Artz went two innings, allowing 14 runs on eight hits and striking out one. Alyssa Orona threw three innings out of the bullpen.

Voll, Artz, Joi Miller, and Zoe Donato each collected one hit to lead Ravenna Varsity Softball.
