In this battle of freshman between Ravenna’s Emily Ervin and Norton’s Bailey Shutsa, Ervin was the more dominant player on the court and the stat sheet, however Shutsa’s Panthers prove dominant as Senior Kelsey Hosey puts in a double-double performance with 13 points and 10 rebounds and down the visiting Ravens 47-39. Shutsa led the Panthers with 14 points. Norton has all but locked up the PTC Metro Championship for the third-straight year as they now have a three-game lead on Streetsboro with their contest left at the Boro, and Coventry and Woodridge left. The Panthers will clinch the championship either 2.6 at Streetsboro with a win or 2.9 at home versus Woodridge with a loss. The Ravens will be in the fight for second with home games 2.6 and 2.9 versus Cloverleaf and Streetsboro respectively. The Lady Ravens will be traveling to Bath Township for a non-conference game Saturday Afternoon at 2:30 pm versus the Revere Minutemen.
