Despite a tied game at half, the host Ravens take an explosive 15-3 run in the fourth quarter to finish off the Newton Falls Tigers 59-34. A stifling team defense played by the Ravens managed to hold the Tigers to zero field goals in the final stanza, sending the Tigers to the free throw line twice, going 3-5 from the charity stripe. This was made evident by the fact that the Tigers committed 32 turnovers in the game, 19 coming in the second half. The Ravens had nine players score tonight, with Jorim McElrath leading all scorers with 16 points, and the Ravens’ Connor Lovejoy tallying 4 3-pointers, finishing the game with 14 points. The Tigers were led by Luke Dickey with 11 points. The only alarming concern for the Ravens was the fact that Newton Falls going to the line 12 times, attempting 23 free throws, despite the Ravens only committing 17 fouls. The Ravens will take to the road for a game in Peninsula next Friday December 7th to take on the Woodridge Bulldogs. They return home December 11th for a conference tilt with the Spartans from Akron Springfield.
