Despite a 6-run deficit in the third inning, Ravenna Ravens Varsity almost came all the way back, eventually falling 16-15 to Streetsboro High School on Wednesday. Ravenna Ravens Varsity scored nine runs in the failed comeback on a single by Hayden Skilton in the fourth, a groundout by Sheena Raab in the fourth, a single by Lauren Edsall in the fourth, a double by Jentsen Oden in the fourth, a double by Indyah Frost in the fourth, a double by Emily Starkey in the fourth, and a error in the sixth.

Ravenna Ravens Varsity was right in it until Streetsboro High School in the sixth inning.

Streetsboro High School got things started in the first inning. Julia Santangelo’s sac fly scored one run for Streetsboro High School.

Ravenna Ravens Varsity tallied nine runs in the fourth inning. Ravenna Ravens Varsity’s big bats in the inning were led by doubles by Oden, Frost, and Starkey, singles by Skilton and Edsall, and a groundout by Raab.

Isabella Marlo was in the pitcher’s circle for Streetsboro High School. She allowed eight hits and 11 runs over three and a third innings, striking out five.

Shalynn Barlow was on the rubber for Ravenna Ravens Varsity. She lasted two innings, allowing six hits and eight runs. Kaitlyn Rogers threw four innings in relief.
