The Ravenna Lady Ravens improve their record to 2-1 with a win over Garrettsville James A. Garfield Lady G-Men today at home. Entering the second quarter, the Lady G-Men and Lady Ravens were tied at 15, however, Ravenna held Garfield to 1 field goal and four points in the second stanza, to create a halftime lead of 27-19. Freshman Emily Ervin led the Ravens with 14 points. Kaitlyn Rogers nodded 10 points, while Lauren Calhoun and Avery Robinson each had 8. Calhoun also pulled down 13 boards. Garfield’s Grace Mills, one of the top players in the Portage Trail Conference, was held to 3 field goals and 12 points, having been shut down by the defense of Jasmine Pooler and Ravyn Major. The Lady Ravens take the court next on December 5th at home against the Spartans of Akron Springfield.
